Here are some little thoughts I've scribbled down over the years...
Love should be shared, and praise freely given.
True praise is reflected in actions, not just words.
Honour is won, not given.
Respect must be earned.
You are always being watched; act accordingly.
Learn patience.
Never instigate a fight; never back down from one either.
Work must be done, but leisure must be had. Finding the balance is paramount.
A true warrior deplores war.
None are as blind as those that wish to be.
