A Defense of Lovecraft's Writing

Daniel McCarthy has written an excellent article defending HP Lovecraft's prose from detractors who consider him a hack.

For those who are unaware, HPL is a 'pulp fiction' writer from the 1920s whose work has influenced people in the fields of literature, film, music and even cuisine. Without HPL, we would likely have no Stephen King.
